We’re hosting an Obsession watch party tonight and my new watch is out for delivery so I guess it’s a pretty watchful day overall.
I’m in Marietta, Ohio today for something and even this far south (just over the border from West Virginia) it’s surprisingly hazy.
Running iOS and macOS betas would seem riskier if the operating systems Apple actually releases didn’t already feel like betas.

Given the situation with OpenAI and Apple right now, it’s hilarious to open the App Store and see this today.
The first named character on the first page of the first draft of the original Star Wars script was named Justin so I guess you could say I’m a Jedi.

I love seeing our local coffee shop so busy that they have to use their overflow parking lot while the Starbucks that was built next door sits empty.
Grinding your own beans is like 90% of the gap between “drip coffee at home” and “drip coffee at a coffee shop”
Everyone: “Holiday weekends are for relaxing and enjoying the things that make you happy.”
Me:
Every Apple beta season before this one: “Don’t install the early betas and previews! Wait for them to stabilize later in the summer!”
This Apple beta season: “Of course the early betas feel stable! The big changes always come later in the summer!”

Every room in my house is somehow hotter than the others.
It’s like an MC Escher painting.
I’m sorry but no fruit of man’s labors in the past or future will ever be as cool as The Twilight Zone. It was our collective high water mark.
The second Guardians of the Galaxy movie is so much better than I remember. When I think about these movies, always just kind of skip the second one and think about how great the first and third ones are. I think the second one might even have my favorite soundtrack of the three 🤔
I love setting Ripley up with a game on the iPad, with Guided Access turned on, only to find him rearranging the icons on my home screen and marking a bunch of my reminders as completed (with Guided Access still “enabled” somehow?!) because Guided Access is completely broken on the iPad.
I’m a “the guy in the Expedia commercial is holding an Android phone but the screen they showed him using has an iOS status bar” kind of dad.
